BSG DVR Alert!

SyFy (yes, that's how they spell their name now) has just announced that the series finale is not 2 hours long. It's two hours AND ELEVEN MINUTES long! As so often happens, this is NOT reflected yet on my cable TV schedule and probably isn't on yours either. If you don't want to miss the last 11 minutes of the series finale, you MUST go to your TV and either extend the episode an extra 15 minutes (or half hour) or just tape the next show airing on SyFy.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm just going to round up and set it for 3 and a half hours. One half before, and then one hour after.

Re: BSG DVR Alert!

By the why, I have two stupid network oriented questions:

1) Why do people call Sci-fi "Skiffy?"

2) I thought the whole Syfy switch was happening in July?

1. It's just a silly nickname, really. Unless you mean how on earth did they come up with the nickname...in which case, people are still being silly by purposely (I hope!) mispronouncing the "scifi" more like "skiffee".

2. Perhaps, but most people don't won't to pass up an opportunity to mock the new, idiotic rebranding. Personally, I'm going to call it Syfylis from now on.

Re: BSG DVR Alert!

Thanks for the warning! I was happy that my DVR recorded the "Last Frakin Special" without my foreknowledge, since I guess it was flagged as part of the series. Sometimes DVR scheduling pleasantly surprises as well as disappoints.

EDIT: I just checked and my DVR actually does have the correct schedule with the extra 11 minutes. Somebody's on top of things.
