The battle music were very good in the finale, I'm anxious to have that on CD.

Overall, music from Revelations will end up getting the most play out of any other 4th season episodes.

I liked some of the more subtle callbacks, like Diaspora Oratorio when the colonists were hiking off to their new lives and the variation of One Year Later for 150,000 Years Later. That one was perfect, as I'd just recognized it as the card came up.

You're so wrong. I mean, the music certainly didn't hit you over the head like Crossroads, Revelations, Sometimes a Great Notion, or Someone to Watch Over Me... but music isn't supposed to do that all the time.

If you pay attention to the subtleties in the score for Daybreak, you'll notice a lot of creativity, callbacks to previous themes, mash ups, remixes, and some totally new stuff.

That was great.

My favorite moment was the recalling of 'The Shape of Things to Come' on the pan out from Bill Adama at the end.

Sorry but I also happen to think you're dead wrong. I think what you may be saying is subtle and didn't stand out is mainly because a lot of stuff, especially in the battle scenes, got drowned out majorly by sound effects, which is sad. This happens a lot - the magnificent cue accompanying Starbuck's flight in Maelstrom gets severely drowned out to the point where all you can hear is the woodwinds and drums.

That's funnhy because I thought Bear absolutely excelled himself in this episode, I don't think themes have been interwoven so brilliantly since the end of Gotterdammerung.

Aaaaaand I still want the "B-sides", some of the tracks from previous seasons not on CD yet... I recall some music cues from Lay Down Your Burdens I'd love to have on my iPod. I hope they still bring out a "Bonus" CD.
