Gaeta telling Lee "the back door is open" in The Hand of God

Kinda has a different tone to it now, huh.

Anyway, to the point of the thread - what happened earlier in the show now has another meaning to it.

In 33, Baltar 'repents' and suddenly Roslin orders Adama to destroy the Olympic Carrier.

In The Hand of God, Baltar points to the correct target and gains spiritual enlightenment.

Any others worth a mention?

Those arent really new meanings. In fact that are exactly in line with the intended meaning.

But given all that was written and shot well before RDM knew where he was taking the show (mid-season three) it's pretty good back story to revisit!

I remember all the discussions about Laura being a Cylon cos of what Baltar said, etc.

Okay but lets take Baltar "repenting".

At the time, it meant Baltar was repenting to God and therefore being given mercy by the Carrier being destroyed.

Now, I think it pretty much means the same thing.

Likewise with picking the spot on the map.

So while our perceptions of these events have changed, the innate meaning of them has not.

Alright, I'll rephrase my thread - what perceptions have changed regarding certain events how we know the complete outcome?

Was Kara Thrace's desire to kill herself driven by God's plan, or by the pain and torment over the past three years, combined with her tortured upbringing?

Re: Gaeta telling Lee "the back door is open" in The Hand of God

I was just thinking about this last night.

In A Day In the Life...

-Helo teases Hotdog over a rash in his private parts. "I hope she was worth it." Indicating that Hotdog is promiscous.

-When Cally and Tyrol are talking about who would take care of Nicky if they die, Tyrol mentions Dee and Lee. Without even thinking about it, Cally blurts out "No Pilots!" Clearly something she has given some thought to.

-And, of course, Cally gets blown out into space in that episode.

Also, from the mini... wasn't Head-Six's first appearance immediatly after Helo gives up his seat for Baltar? That decision set both of their destinies in motion.

In "Tigh me up, Tigh me down" Ellen tells us that she barely remembers getting to the fleet and that she was unconsious most of the time.

She also says that Adama visited her from time to time and, ahem, touched her, while she pretended to be asleep.

Now who wants to bet that Cavil drugged her, dragged her into the fleet and that it wasn't Adama who visited her first, but Cavil.

In regards to Gaeta, in the mini he tells Adama that it's been an honour and a priviledge to serve under him these past 3 years. Have to admit, I smirked!

Also, in 33, when everyone's exhausted and they flag that Boomer doesn't seem the slightest bit tired (because we already know she's a cylon), guess who else is mentioned as looking fresh and untired? Good old Col Tigh, who gives up his 10 minute break for Adama to rest, and is later congratulated by Adama for how well he's holding up, and that he doesn't look at all tired.

She says someone put her on the last ship out of the space port too, but she can't remember the person and no one knows how/who put her there. Maybe an Angel did it.

I think it was established in No Exit that it was indeed Cavil

Back in Season 2, Roslin heard a loud ringing when Ellen came to visit her while she was in Chamalla withdrawal. I remember some suggestion that this might've been because Ellen was a cylon.

Thing is, Tigh was clarly tired. During the meetings him and Adama had in Adama's quarters, Tigh is nodding off frequently.

Which isn't so bad, since we know the human form Cylons were programmed to need sleep (Cavil mentions deleting this annoying function in his programming in "No Exit").
