Metacritic's aggregate provides a much more exact score, but it's still in the green at 68. I'm excited to see it, whenever it plays around where I happen to be at.

It's not playing around me either. I'd hoped there might be at least one theatre in Toronto showing it, but alas that is not the case.

Is it one of those openings where the film is only playing in New York, L.A., and maybe a few other select cities? I do hope it gets a wider distribution soon... I'm looking forward to this one.

I liked Solaris. Both versions... anyway, I found out Moon played in Atlanta back in April. Maybe it will pop up again.

Me neither, I'm not going to drive to Los Angeles to see a random movie. How hard is it to put this on one damned screen somewhere in San Diego? How many explosions does a 'sci-fi' movie need before it's economically viable? Someone should do a study.

Maybe it'll hit blu-ray nice and quick and save me the trip to the theater altogether.

Since I saw that teaser with a fake ad, I've been eager to see this.

When I heard Sam Rockwell was starring in Moon, I didn't think much of the movie and his acting ability.
Then clearly, you don't know Sam Rockwell.

I'm very much looking forward to this movie ever since I heard it's gonna be a One-man show with Rockwell.
Well two if you count Spacey.
If they (God forbid) ever remake 2001, Kevin Spacey would be absolutely perfect for HAL. He can do that wry, knowing tone so well.

Ditto. And Spacey is the voice of "HAL"? He finally lives up to his name!

Re: Moon -- actually going to be good?

So apparently this is only playing in 8 theaters in all of North America at the moment (don't know exactly which cities). Don't know when it's going to expand to more screens.

It comes out in Australia in September, so I guess I'll catch it then.

IMDb and Wikipedia both list its UK release date as July 17th.
