Is that Chinese writing on the buiding in the first shot?

Those buildings are really sweet! I love the style, contemporary, yet futuristic.

Still fascinated by the tall, spire-like tower in the background. Maybe it's Graystone's HQ?

But the fifth, 1.5-unit-high one looks Tholian/Vulcan (i.e. non-Chinese/Japanese) or something...?

Sure. Lots of downtown urban areas have airports.

At least Battlestar Galactica's spacecraft can take-off vertically.

Speaking of which, the jumbo jets that land at Hong Kong's airport fly within the city, very close to skyscrapers... if a 747 can do it, an Intersun Liner can do it.

There's one example. Ok, off the top of my head...

- Minneapolis/St. Paul (no terrestrial noise vibrations, eh? Tell that to people in South Minneapolis)
- New York
- London
- Washington, D.C.

Huh. Only planes I recall hitting buildings in those cities was intentional.

You come pretty close to a few buildings in Atlanta too. I don't find the ships that close to the city that weird at all, or really a big enough detail to care about. I'm sure the CGI guys will make sure the spaceships avoid the buildings no problem.
