It is amazing how much discussion has gone into that line. Just Google the question and you get an explosion of results about that one scene and the word.
I'd love to see the reverse scene on "Caprica," where people are watching a Caprican sci-fi show, and one of the characters actually says "frak" on national television. The Caprican internet goes wild!

No mistake (or otherwise), it's definitely frakking.

In the Razor pre-release screener, Kendra Shaw used "fucking" in the scene with the rifle drill. It was clear as a fucking bell.

They cleaned it up in ADR for broadcast, and the commercial DVD.

If it slipped through, there would be a clumsy dub in subsequent airings.

In the episode where Baltar gets his head scanned by Doc Cottle, and interrupts it repeatedly, I could swear I heard Cottle say FUCK instead of FRACK.

Has anyone noticed this too?

Yes, I am positive Cottle says "fuck" in that episode. No doubts about it.

For "Daybreak" though, it's clear he was about to say fuck and managed to salvage it as "fruk" instead, lol.

You know, this isn't the first time we thought we heard something we didn't. In the mini, people heard Tigh say "Jesus", when in fact he was really saying "Gee, Zeus"!

Re: Did Baltar say "f*ck"?

The episode was shown on UK tv last night. First thing I did this morning was to search 'Galactica Baltar fucking'. So here we are. To English ears listening to an English actor speaking English, it sounded a lot like 'fucking'. It still sounded like 'fucking' when I paused and replayed it.

^ Actually the episode in question is Daybreak pt.1, which aired on Sky1 last Tuesday

On this note, at the beginning of "Resurrection Ship, Part I," when the Vipers are all jousting at each other, I could swear it sounds like Hotdog says, "Fucking frakkers!" over the radio. Which, in addition to being an FCC violation, makes no logical sense as a phrase.

Re: Did Baltar say "f*ck"?

I stand corrected - it was last Tuesday. I recorded it in order to watch the last three episodes together.

Fucking frakkers does make sense - fucking fuckers. The nuances could be debated for hours.

How is it a FCC violation since show is on cable, not network, TV? It is a violation of their voluntary TV Rating system though.

If BSG was shown on Network TV any of these violations would get them fined.

Good point. I didn't recall the fact that cable's content restrictions are voluntary. It still doesn't make sense, though.

Re: Did Baltar say "f*ck"?

Sounded like he said fuck to me, and on Sky they would have had no problem with that.

I figured since they took the chance that since the show was already over there woudlnt be much they could do about it.
