I don't think the Spoiler is about Doomsday or Bloom.

But what is there really left to do with Doomsday as a regular? They teased the monster so far. If Witwer dropped for a anther guy to just play the monster, I can't imagine seeing it much. THis is a Smallville after all.

To NX: ahhh ok.. that makes sense then... though I question whether that is solely plot motivated or for other reasons.

you know its really hard to mess up the Doomsday character, so far Smallville hasnt totally done that, but if that 1st spoiler is true, then I may write an e:mail to DC Comics and ask them if they even watch Smallville, and if they really think they are using their characters correctly.

While Doomsday may live on, I believe that Davis Bloom will be one of the deaths.

The other death, who's identity was hinted at as "qualifying" as a show vet, has most of you thinking Chloe. Too easy. Who else has been around for more than one season then besides Clark, Jimmy and Lois the three cononical mainstays? What about Oliver Queen and/or J'onn J'onzz? They have both been around for more than just this season, qualifying as a show veteran, plus the Manhunter is dead in the comics these days already. Add to the mix that he has been powerless nearly all season long, our Detective Jones may be due to take a dirtnap in the Smallville continuity.

Yeah, I'm afraid this time I need to prepare to lose my beloved Chlovage for real this time.

One of my first thoughts as I was reading down the thread was... Maybe they'll bring back Martha Kent and she'll die. Then Clark will sell the farm.

You know, I don't even remember that.

Um...why not keep Chloe when she could have been offed in "Legion" That legion doesn't have Brainiac 5, the future was altered, Chloe could live on. I guessing Davis Bloom and Martha Kent...she does die eventually. If Chloe is killed, then Smallville is killed...she is a character that was created for the show...hell, Chloe could be anything to the future according to The Legion.

It's been rumored that Smallville's producers are hiring a new person to play Doomsday next season and they're dumping Witwer.
The "new Doomsday" was proven to be a liar. BuddyTv asked.

There's already someone in the suit so why would they hire someone new?

Re: Smallville season 8 spoiler

I read on www.Kryptonsite.com that everone is set to return except for Witwer...who may be back in season 9 as Zod.

* http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansit...e/news/?a=6499

has some interesting info/Maybe Spoilers! It has a pic of a fan created suit for Clark, very Smallville like...I would lose the cape until the real thing though and pics of Zatanna(Serinda Swan) *

It was after she was done stomping Reagan Matthews to death in "Power".

I figured as much. The wording of his interview did not make sense. If not straight out lying very misquoted. He may have auditioned for the part this season and did not get it. Maybe was given a empty Hollywood promise of "some future part".

The printed edition of Entertainment Weekly contains a HUGE season finale spoiler "A long-running character bites the dust." Time to place bets...?

It could be Chloe, considering it took Allison Mach a while to re-sign before last season.

I believe it when I see it though. They also say a long-standing character will die (like Lana and Chloe) and they always come back in the next show.

They'll cop out and kill Martha. Maybe a political assassination, or Lex setting up her death.

Oh, it'll be a tragic death and give Annette O'Toole a great send-off, but HER death will be what finally frees Clark to become Superman (in whatever form they finally make him).

After all, Silver Age Superman was an orphan. And it might be nice to introduce SOMETHING from the Silver Age mythos into Smallville.

Re: Smallville season 8 spoiler

One thing to consider, I would not be so fast in writing off the death of Jimmy Olsen. Here's something to think about. In the comics, Jimmy has ALWAYS been shown to be significantly younger than either Lois or Clark. This Jimmy is either the same age as Chloe (and thus Clark) or is slightly older. A way to "fix" this might be to kill Jimmy and have Chloe turn out to be pregnant with James Jr. In fact, isn't she already Mrs. Olsen?
