Re: Saturday Morning Watchmen
Right up there with "Watchmen Babies" on The Simpsons. I liked how Bubastis became a cross between Cringer and Scooby-Doo. And Dr. Manhattan turning into a car!To be really authentic Saturday morning stuff, though, all the violence should've been expunged -- no punching people, no smashing through glass, no mention of cancer. And Silk Spectre would be much more demurely attired.

Then he'll use his black magic powers to take revenge. Comedian trying to kiss Silk Spectre is just...ick! |

Re: Saturday Morning Watchmen
![]() That was a nice helping of pure awesome. So many nice touches for those who've read the book (as I did this past week, in preparation for the movie): "Rorschach's friend to the animals..." and it shows him with the two dogs he butchers in the book... that is hilariously macabre. The Comedian trying to kiss Laurie... just wrong on so many levels. "Jon can give you cancer, or turn into a car!" Yeah, you'd never hear a line like that in an actual Saturday morning cartoon, but that doesn't make it any less amusing. I'd love to see Alan Moore's reaction. |
