But is it chock full of parenthetical statements (you know, the kinds that seem [almost like nested-if statements] strewn through out CLB's books )?

I kid because I love, Happy Valentines fellow geeks!

I'm looking forward to some explorations of Lavena's species.

Over 220 pages into this. I like it quite a bit. It definitely feels like a change of pace; there's almost a Peter David-esque humor/bent in some of the passages (particularly the Ree subplot, which otherwise would feel like a stretch, but more on that in a later, full review). I'm glad to see Bralik getting airtime, as she is a character who I felt had a lot of potential and hasn't been visible enough in a while. And Titan now has a Delta Flyer-type craft? Pretty cool.

Re: Titan: Over a Torrent Sea

I went to my local book store and they said that this book wasnt available till the end of the month...i thought that was odd because other places already have it available to purchase...oh well, that book store isnt very big and they very rarely have a book that i need...I did get A Singular Destiny there yesterday though.

Cool, I'm glad to hear that about Bralik. I really liked Bralik, in the first two books, but we haven't seen much of her sense then. I think some said she did appear in Sword of Damocles, but I don't remember how much she did in it.

Well I saw a copy today at my local Borders Express, but someone grabbed it right as I was about to. Didn't care though - I'll get it later.

Strange. They told me a few days ago they thought I was the only one who bought Trek books.

Hello Christopher,

I hope that you will create an annotations page for Star Trek: Titan Over a Torrent Sea. It's probably a lot of work to create the page from your notes but I find the annotation pages for your previous novels to be very illuminative. I find them to be very interesting especially the annotations that give us the reasons why you made a particular creative decision concerning a character, object, or event. Thank you so much for the effort and I hope that you will continue creating annotations pages for each new novel.

I will be posting an annotations page, but I want to wait until the book is more widely available.

Thanks. I suspected that was the reason. I wanted you to know that as a fan I look forward to reading your annotations page.

There is a local bookstore (not a chain store, like Borders) that seems to get it very early if I pre-order it. I learned this with the Destiny trilogy and have keep going with it since then.
