Anybody tired of the Vermont Teddy Bear commercials?

I swear, every Valentine Day season, we get bombarded by these fucking Vermont Teddy Bear commercial featuring these three squeeling women in an office when they receive the Love Bandit Vermont Teddy Bear. This commcercial has been played now for at least the last 3 years straight now. And it is played ad nausiem through-out the day.

My response to the lady when she says "Where can I get a guy like that." is "Stop squeeling like that, for starters."

This squeeling is what drives me nuts the most. I've tried to imitate the sound, and for the love of God I cannot. I can't even come close.

Haven't seen the commercial, but I've been exchanging IMs for a couple of weeks with a girl from match.com and she actually has one of these. We looked around the site together the other day and were laughing at some of the funnier ones, like Alien Bear.

I was watching TV on one channel last night, and EVERY TIME THEY WENT TO COMMERCIAL it showed up. Sometimes they showed the same commercial TWO TIMES IN A ROW.

The worst part of those commercials has to be the acting. I don't think you can find worse examples of acting anywhere else.

I saw it for the first time a few days ago. This is what I saw. It came off like a comedy sketch at first.

The acting is ghastly and the squealing makes me wince.

But what's worse is what is being sold both in that commercial and the Pajama-Gram one. Not "Give the person you love something nice" but "Give the person you love a gift and she'll fuck you in gratitude."

Yuck. Not at all romantic. More like a pay for sex deal.

I don't know whether men or women should be more insulted--women for the way that those women are portrayed, or men for the fact that VTB clearly thinks they'd buy their product because of this incredibly shallow portrayal.

Ever listen to the commercial when you're not in the room? It sounds borderline obscene, especially the "It's bigger than I thought!" bit.

I have NEVER seen one of these commercials in my life, and I do a considerable amount of TV watching. But, I never watch Fox News, either.

Squealing? No. That's a bit too....."Deliverance."

Yes I have, and it's laughable this is actually an option for Valentine's Day. Whatever happened to roses or chocolates?

Needless to say, I'm very tired of this commercial.

They also show those stupid commercials on the Food Network. I've told my husband that I don't want him to ever spend such a ridiculous amount of money on a frakkin' teddy bear for me!!!

Heh...they're the exact same company (they are also Calyx Flowers).

I don't have a thing to do with the TV ads, but chances are any VT Bear radio spot you've heard recently was one I was sitting in the room while it was being recorded.
