Is it just me or does that "let's put in lots of action to introduce kids to Trek!" smack of catering to the lowest common denominator to entice the cash-cow to the Trek-trough? No wonder summer blockbusters are getting stupider by the year...

Possibly the greatest Trek episode to come out of TNG was "The Inner Light". How much action did it have in it? Fuck all, IIRC.
