Re: Shatner Taunts Takei
Well, excuse him, George. Even if the opening credits say "Starring William Shatner", and your name is nowhere to be seen, I guess he should just be bending over to please you anyway. Stop being such a drama queen, sometimes a show's star is self centered. Believe it or not. It's not a personal insult, it happens. Anyway, personally I think Shat is justified in rubbing Takei's nose in it a little after all these years. That said, I'm not 100% sure this fued is as serious as they make it out to be. I have no doubt that there is bad blood between them, but it could be dramatized for our viewing pleasure a bit...

Re: Shatner Taunts Takei
They both have big egos, they came from very different acting positions such that one ego seemed at least somewhat justified whereas the other seemed pathetic; they probably aren't one another's biggest fans, but then again, they are both actors and see the value in milking this, so yes, probably a mix of animosity and business savvy. I think the record is pretty clear: this was Takei's issue originally; he clearly had some unresolved perceived 'hurts'. However, Takei was a fool to think that he could start the Shat and then just turn off the faucet. Once the shat gets started, it runs for a long time. |

Re: Shatner Taunts Takei
His attitude should not have to be in line of what Trek stood for. Hes an actor and nothing like Captain Kirk. Never was and never will be. He William Shatner. I think hes pretty funny and most people just dont get it. |
