Re: Canon characters killed in the books SPOILERS!!

Keith, thanks for remembering that I killed Azetbur in Serpents Among the Ruins, since it eluded me when I added my post to this list. You also reminded me that I killed Spock's mother, Amanda, in The Fire and the Rose.

And if I'm not mistaken, since Ann Crispin also killed her in Sarek, that makes Amanda one of the few (only?) characters to die twice in the novels.

Yup, Amanda died twice, but I didn't list her for the reasons stated (also why I didn't list MJF doing Jack Crusher's death or me doing Ian Troi's).

Oh yeah, that's right (and it does say that in your post - whoops, I missed that the first time).

I'd also forgotten all about Mark Piper dying in that Lost Years book. Guess I should re-read some of these things....

KRAD!! You killed Drex? Does Martok have any surviving children, any heirs now then?

*grumbles about reading the line about TAoTI instead of skipping it*

In Home Is The Hunter, which is set shortly after TMP, Ensign Garrovick gets killed - and then he's a major character in In The Name Of Honor, set after TFF.

Also, T'Pau's been resurrected a couple of times, hasn't she? Because I seem to recall her presiding over Spock and Saavik's wedding in Vulcan's Heart...

You writers sure do seem to enjoy killing folks.

Martok doesn't have any surviving children, no, but Worf does, and he's part of Martok's House. And conceivably (ahem), Martok could have another child.

The mirror universe versions of Spock, Marlena Moreau, Uhura, and possibly Sulu were killed in The Sorrows of Empire.

Well there are laws saying you can't kill people, so I guess fictionally is the next best thing

Oh you devil you! Martok gets laid! Or ... Alexander becomes chancellor sometime in the future.

Anyway, when i read about Shakaar's death, i was really shocked at how he died. I understand that he had to die; he was infected with those damn parasites. As for Drex, he died as a warrior.

Why would that happen? "Reunion" and "Tacking Into the Wind" made it clear that in the 24th century the chancellorship is not inherited....

But this means that Alexander will most likely be the head of the house of Martok at some point. Provided he survives, of course

I kinda hope he does end up with an heir, and not a terrible one. He seemed like a good guy, both as a Klingon and just in general, loyal and fair.
And the poor guy has been through so much!
