well, not knowing anything except for a 1.5 second video of San Francisco, it did look rather... grey. Maybe it was really overcast...

Re: Grey San Francisco

It's a reach, but there could be a TMP connection here. Wise kept the uniforms and everything monochromatic to make the faces pop (didn't do so hot on that compared to, say, ANDROMEDA STRAIN), so maybe they're keeping San Francisco extra blah looking to make any pyrotechnics look bolder. (that's a reason why fiery scale pyrotechnics are often staged under cloudy conditions -- it makes the fireballs look brighter, like the miniature stuff in TORA TORA TORA.)

Seen in the early morning with fog in the air from a viewpoint on the Golden Gate bridge, that's the way it looks.

Since this could easily have been brought up in either the thread about the ad or the thread discussing screencaps taken from the ad, and since this thread seems to have been posted for the primary purpose of making a really lame joke, I'll just close it now.
Let me never fall into the vulgar mistake of dreaming
that I am persecuted whenever I am contradicted.
