After pondering this for at least 30 seconds, I have some theories.

- The scene requires some kind of visual indication of completion, but not all of the porn stars want to swallow, so this is a compromise.

- It's a safer alternative to swallowing from a STD standpoint.

- It's the ultimate expression of sexual domination in a way, and some people get off on that.

- Porn directors are big Jackson Pollock fans.
