Mulgrew To Portray Diva
As reported by TheaterMania, Master Class is set during a master class in which Callas, played by Mulgrew, instructs three young singers, during the course of which she recalls the story of her life, including her early days as an "ugly duckling," professional rivalry, an unforgiving press, and her stormy relationship with Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis. Master Class will run from March 4 through April 5th at the Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, New Jersey. Master Class is produced by Terrence McNally, with Wendy Goldberg directing the play. Mulgrew is currently starring at the Broadhurst Theatre in the play Equus, where she is playing Hester Salomon, a compassionate public official who begs a psychiatrist to take on the troubling case of a young man who blinds six horses. Equus runs through February 2009. To read more, head to the article located here. |
