He was the best thing about that movie, as well.

That's all I want. It's all 99% of fans want.

If they don't do it after a decade of a show that was supposed to be a 4-year-only thing, I think we may just hunt the writers and actors down and eat them alive.

It's been a long time coming for this show to come to an end. The premise of the show has long expired and didn't seem built to last this long.

Tom Welling isn't a great actor by any means but most times he is only bad because his lines are bad. When he has a normal scene without any gobbleygook he's capable enough.

But this has been a good season so far. I'm thinking that short of a brain-wipe causing everyone who knows Clark to not recognize him as Supes, that he will become Superman in an alternate universe. They've hinted at it when Oliver suggested he wear a cape and Clark answers, "in another life." Plus, there was that alternate universe episode where he wears the glasses and no one really knows him.

But they have gone to the amnesia well many times before so who knows?

I predict Welling will continue to stubbornly refuse to do his job as an actor.

I've said this before, but if this show was a bit younger I'd fire Welling and replace him.

Jor-El was able to selectively mind wipe Chloe so it is possible.

But the show is supposed be about him becoming Superman, not being Superman so I guess it doesn't really matter.

Welling does well enough. BUT "NO TIGHTS AND FLIGHTS" BITES!*

Rosenbaum hints at returning for the series finale if the producers allow him to wear a bald cap

WCT: Well, you definitely hit it big with the WB show Smallville, playing Lex Luthor. How many seasons were you on?
MB: I did seven seasons and I just finished this past May. They are continuing on another season. My contract was up and it had run its course. I loved the cast and the crew but I felt like my work was done. They have asked me to come back a few times. People think they have seen me on the show since then but I found out they have been using body doubles to pretend that it's me. I don't know how fair that is to the fans.

WCT: So you don't think you will ever come back?
MB: No. I told the producers that I would only come back for the last episode or two if they let me wear a bald cap. I just grew my hair out.
WCT: Shaving your hair just drove you crazy, didn't it?
MB: It wore out its welcome. Seven years everyday, filming in Vancouver, freezing my ass off. I couldn't even wear a hat because my makeup would get ruined. I had to be there two hours before the crew got there to shave my head. The makeup girl was like my therapist. She knew everything about me and knew I wasn't coming back. I am truly grateful to the show. It put me on the map. It gave me financial stability. I am able to take care of my mother's gambling problem! [ Both laugh. ]

Looks like we'll be getting a lot more nude body doubles.

Even Chris Judge got tired of shaving his head. I read it was painful.

Rosenbaum will appear in the 2-part series finale "The Truth", in which Lex Luthor will reveal that he wore a bald cap the entire time. Also, Clark is a super soldier sent here to conquer humanity as revealed by Lionel Luthor, who is still alive and living in those Indian caves near Smallville. Then Lionel tells Clark and Lana that Darkseid will invade in 2012.

Re: Smallville: season 9

the show has made some good progress this season, and seemed like it was heading to its conclusion, Clark having taken the role of hero (even if its minus the Superman identity), a job at the Daily Planet (Lois being pretty much Lois) and I assume a massive stand off with Doomsday. I really hope S9 does not undone that progress and ruin a possibly epic S8 finale.

Re: Smallville: season 9

I don't know. I kind of want them to wrap things at the end of this season...I read that they've been working on a big wrap up if they don't get a ninth season. I can understand Micheal's relunctance...

Re: Smallville: season 9

I'll admit - I'm going to hear it after I say this - I myself want the show to end this season. It has had a good run and I'd rather it go out on this storyline than any other. If it does go on though I hope they do something along the lines of Darkseid coming to Earth.

If they do, they have to cast Michael Ironside.
