End Program. Enter when ready.

Sincere condolances......
Don't lie. We all hate it when it is done to us. It destroys trust, it divides, it destroys what could be achieved greater at the price of what is achieved in the short term. It's not worth it and it hurts us all collectively.

Re: Majel Barrett-Roddenberry Passes

I gasped out loud when I read the headline. She was a great part of Trek and will be missed. My condolences to her family.

Re: Majel Barrett-Roddenberry Passes

I'm so sorry to hear this news - I was at a party and we were talking about Bill Shatner (it was as kind as we could make it) and someone blurted out "Hey did you here that the computer voice chick just died?" I about fell out of my chair and told everyone for about twenty minutes how great of an actress, voice-over persona and great lady she was. I, as many have already posted, just read recently that she was doing the voice of the comp in the next film and was thrilled to read it. Great continuity - right along with the same vein of Nimoy reprising. I'm just so darned sad to hear this.

RIP Majel and boldy go...

Totally shocked about this. Always loved her characters.

Sad news Trek won't be the same without that distinctive voice.....

I had no idea she was ill (apparently no one did).

RIP, Majel.

Re: Majel Barrett-Roddenberry Passes

This truly marks the passing of the one common link that was shared by all incarnations of Trek.

The Cage, TOS, TAS, TNG, DS9, VOY, ENT... even New Voyages... she appeared in them all in one form or another (sometimes in more than one).

If Star Trek lost it's vision when Gene passed, it certainly lost it's heart now.

So very sad. I just watched the TNG episode where she was saddened about growing old and then tonight I go to youtube to watch whatever interesting new video Shatner's daughter put up there and he spent the entire video memorializing her. I didn't understand at first what and who he was talking about and had to re-start it for the news to sink in. As in the all the past news of Trek death's I felt the need to come here first.

RIP, a wonderful classy woman.
