Re: Majel Barrett-Roddenberry Passes

She looked frail at Vegas Con. I was worried this would happen but not this soon.
I was fortunate to have met her and talked to her a couple of times over the years.

Very sad news.

Just no words. I've never felt like I lost someone, but I truly feel that now, almost like a favorite Aunt.

Wow, I didn't expect to be reading this tonight. She was the queen of Star Trek. RIP Majel.

Re: Majel Barrett-Roddenberry Passes

I was unaware that she had been ill and I am shocked and saddened by the news of her passing. She was a truly classy lady and all of Star Trek was better for her involvement. She and her family will be in my prayers.

This is sad news.

Number One (the original!), Christine Chapel, computer voices (all eras), animateds voice actress, Lwaxana well as the head of Lincoln Enterprises(I believe it was called).

She did a lot with Trek throughout the years, as well as producing some shows.

RIP Miss Barrett-Roddenberry...

this is the first actual "news" headline from TrekToday that I've replied to since Enterprise was canceled

wow, I did not know she was sick. I was dreading this departure.

Star Trek being rebooted; new life in time of death. Seems fitting, if only if it were the other way around.

Damn it. Just, damn it.

Re: Majel Barrett-Roddenberry Passes

Truly we have lost one the great Star Trek icons. I haven't been too thrilled with the idea of a reboot in the ST universe, but I'll definitely go see the new movie now, just to hear Majel's voice one last time.

Rest in peace.

Requiescat in pace, Majel. You will be missed.

It just won't be the same after Trek XI when there's a new voice for the computer... I'm very happy she got to record that final performance as the computer before she died.

Re: Majel Barrett-Roddenberry Passes

I can only add my own feelings of sadness and surprise. I always liked Majel - a tough, smart woman who appreciated the fans and was better in Trek than some gave her credit. She will be missed.

This is such an unexpected loss. Her role in the star trek universe has been enormous. The voice of the computer will never be the same....

I always enjoyed her appearances as Lwaxana Troi. She was really funny with the cast of TNG and brought a smile to my face when she would show up on the show.

Rest in peace.
