[O.T. / Non-Challenge Entry] "Star Trek: Mandela" (The Arke Effect)

I've started a W.I.P. story, as a follow-up to "Cause & Effect", "Night Terrors" & Diane Carey's "Ship Of The Line", among others.

Timeline: 2382

Captain Morgan Bateson & Chief Medical Officer (Dr. Kathrine Pulaski) unite against unseen forces while dealing with the Cardassian-Federation "Andak Project" (as discussed at Star Trek Online's forums), with cameos of Kyle Riker as Dr. Pulaski's on-again/off-again beau.

Please post that as a link to a webpage or post the text to the forum...I expect I am not the only one uncomfortable with opening a strange file.
Are you a Cardassian fan, citizen? Prove your loyalty--check out my fanfic universe, Star Trek: Sigils and Unions. Or keep the faith on my AU Cardassia, Sigils and Unions: Catacombs of Oralius!

Nerys: No. The whole point of the ".doc" format is for easier downloading/printing & keeping in home-made manuscripts / print anthologies. Secondly, I hate putting fan-fic's in ".html", ".rtf", or ".pdf" as they don't retain the original Word document's paragraph formatting very well & I'd REALLY prefer to keep the embedded graphics, as they help enormously to tell the story. If I could do all that in Microsoft Publisher or some other application that would keep the presentation's layout when translated to ".html", then I'd be happy to. But for now, I'm stuck with just Word.

Then I suspect you won't get any readers. A .doc file is a neat way of getting an infection. No-one here would be daft enough to download it, however much thay may trust you personally. You want readers, you have to use a safe format.
"So, Mulder, this supposed clandestine source who's contacted you how do we know that he's not just another crackpot whose encyclopedic knowledge of extraterrestrial life isn't derived exclusively from reruns of Star Trek?"
