I just pre-ordered Gears 2 today, along with Left 4 Dead. I still need to finish the first Gears, though.

My backlog of games is continually growing. There's still Fallout 3 to complete, Fable 2, Far Cry 2. I just got Dead Space and Resistance 2 yesterday, as well. Plus the stacks of other games I either put down halfway through or never got around to starting.

^Me = you x 10. One of the biggest downside to playing WoW in your free time is that it tends to take up all of your free time. I haven't touched my 360 in a couple of months, and it doesn't really bother me for some reason.

Ugh yeah I'm way behind:

I have

Fable 2
Fallout 3
Far Cry 2
Second run through of Dead Space

BARELY started.

Oh, and I have a little thing called WORK and a social life.

So I'm not sure why I waste all of my money buying new games every other week that I have so little time to play.

Having bitched about that, I'm getting Gears 2 on Friday and L4Dead after that.

Oy. Work. It was so much easier to keep up on my game time when all I had to do for more game time was just blow off a class or two.

Sometimes I'm not sure why I buy so many games when I know I'm not going to have the time for all of them. I do the same thing with movies and tv series on Blu-Ray/DVD. I finally had to force myself to make time for Babylon 5, even though I've been wanting to watch it again for awhile now. But my roommate likes to make fun of me for how often the movie/show he wants to borrow is still in the plastic.

The WoW habit doesn't help with free time, either.

ARG I forgot about Call of Duty W@W and Mirror's Edge

UGH! Expensive month.

What a fantastic two years for video games this has been, though. I think we're seeing something of a Renaissance in terms of quality of gaming.

I'm not much of a FPS/3PS shooter fan (at all), and Gears 1 was the first such thing I enjoyed since Goldeneye on the N64...and I loved every second of it! I'm totally pumped for Gears 2

Gears 2 is going to be great. I also have a building backlog of games, but I think Gears 2 will get priority, and I'll soldier through the single player this weekend. Not WoW taking my time, but Guitar Hero and Rock Band games....
