Re: New 'Star Trek XI' Pictures

I don't want Trek to resemble BSG or "Firefly" - reality is so much more colorful than either of those shows.

I like the picture of Spock on the bridge; is this viewscreen actually transparent and not just a monitor? because you can see the hull at the bottom.
It's being debated currently in the Trek XI forum.

Short answer: we don't really know yet.

However, there have been a few ideas (and other things) thrown around.

And why does JJ Abrams keep pulling this snarky Gen-X thing of crapping on the very thing he's trying to resurrect? If it was that bad, why redo it at all?
Maybe because Abrams likes the basic concept of TOS and its characters, but the rest he could do without and is only doing it because it's what most people expect of TOS.

Re: New 'Star Trek XI' Pictures

I love the photos!. I love the seductive, slashy look of Zachary Quinto. (But who wouldn´t? He´s so frakkin´ hot!) But I´m afraid he looks a little plasty, his make up is a little bit overdone. He looks as if he has no pores and is made of barnished plastic. Perhaps because he´s a very hirsute man and the make up has to cover his dense beard. And I think his skin doesn´t look greenish enough. Didn´t they use pancake LN-01 on him?

About the bridge, it´s too kitch. Too many flashy lights perhaps.

It reminds me some bad-reputation discotheque in my town.
