October Art Challenge - "To Quote, Perchance to Trek"

Okay, when choosing challenge themes I tend to gravitate towards those that perhaps require a little more thought, but hopefully have the potential to produce something interesting. And so...

This month's challenge is to pick a quote for a non-trek source and use it as inspiration for your entry.

The quote could be from literature, song or from another tv show: from Shakespeare to Buzz Lightyear. For example, you might want to use a line from a poem as inspiration for a romantic meeting between two Trek characters or perhaps Buzz Lightyear's "To infinity and beyond" could be used in conjuncture with a depiction of a transwarp starship experiment.

The usual rules apply, plus you should include your quote somewhere on the image you enter.

Entries are to be sent to Ptrope (ptrope "at" gmail "dot" com) by the end of the month.

I look forward to seeing your entries. Have fun!

Thanks, Klaus - I try my best!!

I forgot to add another example: given the time of year, some might like to use a scary/horror quote as inspiration for a Hallowe'en style entry.

Any reason ya can't just type [the e-mail address] properly, which would even provide an automatic link?

edit by Ptrope - answered below, and besides, you wouldn't want it too easy, wouldja?

^^ It's an attempted safeguard against spambots. It seems only fair since it not my e-mail address that I'm giving out.

...off topic, but the fact you mentioned Buzz Lightyear owns my soul.
