I thought it was really good. Gory when it needed to be, not gratiuitous. But mostly full of creepy atmosphere and good jumps. It was like a fast-paced trip through a haunted house. And Jennifer Carpenter is both hot and pretty talented.

Saw it tonight. (sorry 'bout the resurrection, hope that's not wrong, or anything?) This kinda thing's not my cup of tea, I guess. I only agreed to watch it because it sounded like it was working from a zombie premise, but this is my second "found footage" film, and Cloverfield was shitloads better. All the screaming Jennifer does is hella annoying, whereas the silent bits at the end were the only truly terrifying part of the movie. Just "meh", overall.

O'Dib, you should check out the Spanish movie it's based on, [Rec]. I thought it was a much more effective telling of the story. It also has a sequel that's supposed to be really good.
