I've had enough Mary Jane for a lifetime. 1 and 2 were great movies, 3 was not good...but specifically Mary Jane is 3 was a total bitch.

Well, I enjoyed Dunst in the first two movies quite a bit. I had not seen much with her that I enjoyed until I saw How To Lose Friends and Alienate People today and enjoyed her in the movie very much. So, there might be hope that she will be better in the fourth movie.

I want Dunst gone, but I like Toby. I voted for the second option because it was the closest to my opinion.

How do you feel about Kirsten Dunst being in Spider-Man 4?

Couldn't care less.

I thought both Kirsten Dunst and Tobey Maguire were horribly miscast in the first one and the overall mediocrity of the movie itself pretty much quashed any interest I might have had in watching more Spider-Man movies starring them.

I voted get rid of them and reboot but the poll really needs a "Meh #4" option.

I just saw that movie today too. I thought it was pretty formulaic and didn't have enough bite to it but I thought that Dunst was clearly the best thing about it. (Of course, most of the other actors got less than nothing to work with. Simon Pegg isn't 1/10th as funny here as he was in "Hot Fuzz." Jeff Bridges is even blander here than he was in "Iron Man." The only pleasant surprise there was Megan Fox, who shows far more skills than she did as the Barbie doll love interest in "Transformers.")

Still, it doesn't change the fact that Mary Jane was never Dunst's best role.

However that option is only the closest to and not accurate of my thoughts. It was just better than the other two.

MJ is not played out as a character but with Dunst back the character is ripe for a minor role. Something along the lies of what they've done in comics which is to ship her off to LA or Europe for modeling/acting stints.
Its then perfectly set up for Gwen/Felcia to move in and toy with our Spiders affections.

MJ will always be Peters soul mate, just not played by Kirsten "coke head" Dunst.

I vote Reboot.

Love the Spidey comics, dislike the movies. They're teen soap operas with ten minutes of action in them. I want to see a wise-cracking Spidey portrayed by someone with humor and charisma, and a crowded world in which there is more than just Spidey and the movie villain; bring on the C-list villain cameos! Why not open the movie with Spidey beating up the Shocker or something?

They made the same movie 3 times, now it will be 4. I didn't like any of them and Dundst and McGuire crying and whining for 2 hours grows old fast. But my 8 year old son loves them.
