24) S4 Faith

26) S3 The Son Also Rises

30) S1 Water

40) S1 Six Degrees of Separation

48) S3 Taking a Break from All Your Worries

All of these would be higher on my personal list, nothing else would be significantly lower, just a few spots to make room for these.

Other than that, it goes with my thinking pretty well.

Yeah once we got down to the last 5, I knew I'd be satisfied with any order.

56) S1 Tigh Me Up, Tigh Me Down

On my personal list, this would be a top 20 episode at least, if only for its cinematographic value, there are some shots than i think are some of the best in the entire show. EJO did a pretty good job... Other than that, the list's quite spot on for the most part !

I still think "Occupation/Precipice" is a better two-parter. I was completely blown away when I saw what my favourite programme had been able to do when I saw them the first time. I remember debating with my friends what would happen on New Caprica, and the idea of suicide bombing came up a few times but we always shot it down, saying, "nah, they'd never get away with that." Show's what we knew.

"Kobol's Last Gleaming" is still a terrific episode though. I'll echo what's been said upthread - there's nothing wrong with the top ten at all. I am somewhat surprised that "33" didn't win though.

I feel similarly about O/P, the one thing holding it back from being top gun above Kobol's, is that it was a bit disconnected from the real BSG universe. That's part of why it was good, but at the same time it also meant it didn't have quite the same investment for me as Kobol's because it was almost more like a stand alone movie and didn't feel like a natural place for the character's of the show. Fantastic as it was, Kobol's was pure BSG whole O/P was just really excellent TV slightly out of place for BSG.
