Alexander Siddig looked fantastic in this weeks episode.

I guess we must be heading towards the end of this now.

Is Giles going to survive the season, he must die so Arthur can become king.
I'd think he'll survive, and probably be killed off some time next series.
I thought it was a shame they didn't allow Arthur to find out now, and show that he could be a real friend, but I guess that's an end to the major "shh" aspect of the story.

I thought Siddig was good, it'd be cool to see him have a big role in something again.

Indeed. Although I guess this episode does at least prove to Arthur not all Sorcerers are evil.

Re: Merlin on BBC1 (SPOILERS)

the cast all have multi-season contracts except Richard Wilson, who apparently is only signing on a season-by-season basis, according to the RT when this began.

jeez, doesn't anyone else read RT any more?

Thought this week's ep was ok despite a fairly predictable Maginificent 7/ 7 Samurai storyline, I didn't see Merlin's friend dying though.

Nice to see Siddig, felt his role could have been a bit bigger mind you.

It's on NBC in January.

Here's a link to the website, doesn't really give any information though.

Has there been any word on whether the CBC will be picking this one up?

EDIT: Never mind...

The distributor, FremantleMedia Enterprises, also sold broadcast rights to CTV in Canada and Network Ten in Australia.

Re: Merlin on BBC1 (SPOILERS)

I'd have been surprised if there wasn't but:
Merlin producer Johnny Capps has claimed that the BBC has made "very positive noises" about the show returning for a second season.

The Saturday night fantasy drama, which takes place during the wizard's formative years, has posted respectable ratings for its opening ten episodes, with last Saturday's instalment attracting 6.42 million viewers.

Capps told Teletext: "Nothing has been agreed yet but the BBC are making very positive noises. We want to do more and we believe viewers want to see more."
