I find it amazing how all of us have at least one of two shows that we root for. I think several of my favorites have been robbed tonight too.
Then you need to start watching Mad Men, my good friend.

How is Howie Mandell a reality-tv host and not a game show host?

Gee, that was a complete surprise, considering Fey won (twice) and so did Baldwin...

Good actor. I have liked him in a lot of roles over the years. I have only recently been watching Breaking Bad...given a certain other series it airs after...

But I REALLY hoping Jon Hamm would win....

EDIT -

YES!!!!

FUCK YEAH!

I am so happy Mad Mn won!

If you don't watch it give it a try, it is BRILLIANT!

I have to admit this telecast was a pill. At times I was so bored that I wanted to scream. I also felt everything was rushed and thrown together at the last minute. It just didn’t work so much so that I think they should take away director Louis J. Horvitz’s Emmy for the Oscars. And the technical glitches, lost sound, errant crew and junk camera switches were atrocious. My local news station does a better job. The writing and the hosts were also abysmal. I was just blown over by how much this year’s show managed to be an amateurish crapfest.

And for the record, I kept count… well I tried too. We had 18 commercial breaks during the telecast. That means we were treated to a block of advertisement every 10 minutes. And we wonder why the damn show is so freakin long.

And a quick reminder, the Winner of the Emmy Awards Nomination Game will be posted in a couple of hours. I have to get my lazy ass in the mood to count everything up.

See you at the Golden Globes in January! And stay tuned for the beginning of the new television season. I will be doing a brand new discussion thread for The Big Bang Theory tomorrow and the one for Pushing Daisies returns on October 1! (I am also contemplating a new one for Dirty Sexy Money!)

Cheers.

Re: 60th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards: Discussion

If there was any justice, Battlestar would have been one of the top dramas. But, this is par for the course.

Hopefully, Pushing Daisies will be better established next year and can get more nominations.

I think I almost scarred my dog to death! I started shouting so loud when the show's win was announced!!!! With Hamm and Slattery getting passed over I was afraid it would as well.

This show was a surprise to me. I stumbled on to a marathon late summer or early fall of 2007. I really don't watch tv anymore. Partially by choice but also due to my work schedule. But this show grabbed my interest like few tv series ever have. It is truly satisfying to see such a great series, which has been under the radar for so long, get the recognition it deserves.
