Avengers movie: Desperate Wasp?

A can of worms was opened up this weekend when Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria was shot exiting the Marvel offices in Beverly Hills with a stack of comic books in hand, one of them happened to be THE AVENGERS.

From everything I've heard the Wasp won't be in the Avengers film so I'm dubious about the accuracy of this.

Well, if they do cast her they should save a ton of money on special effects. They won't have to shrink her with CGI!

The Blackwidow (Not ver Russiany, but the character is easy to use and excellent to look at.)

Captain Marvel ( Not Black.)

Spider-Woman (OOOOOO! Now we're talking!)

Mocking Bird (No chance unless Hawkeye is there.)

Sersi (No chance)

Crystal (no Chance)

Ripclaw (No chance.)

they would have given her new comics. So, failin gthe wasp, it's either black widow or Spider-Woman whose rights would be in the toilet because of that cartoon in the 80s, but then the Scarlet Witch wa in the marvel action hour inthe 90s...

Considering the Avengers movie is coming out after Thor and Captain America from last I checked, they must think that she reads very very slowly.

The bloke from New Christine was fun in Iron Man, but if Fury is going to have any one other than Jasper Stitwell as his major domo... MUST MAKE SURE THAT BLOKE FORM NEW CHRISTINE WAS NOT JASPER STITWELL...But again if she's prepared to have a stern hair cut, what about Maria Hill?

(In comics she took the reigns of S.H.I.E.L.D. after Fury lost the plot but before Tony Stark stole it from her.)

Sharon's race isn't particularly important (though given they seem to be doing all-WWII with Cap's film, Sharon wouldn't be in it; that's one of my problems with the all-WWII approach, since most of Cap's interesting supporting characters aren't there), but Sif's a Nordic goddess, so I doubt Longoria would be doing that.
