Perhaps the biggest understatement in the entire history of understatements.
Oh! Ouch. We need a rimshot smiley.
Yeah, I thought about that when I wrote it. (Of course.)

If I remember correctly, George explained on the Howard Stern Show (in great detail) about what he does and does not do. And he does not do that.
Heh. I totally missed the double entendre in that! Just speaking as a bitter divorced guy and victim of the Massachusetts Family Court system.

I speak as a somewhat less bitter divorced guy. But I do have my moments!

He's getting married. When other Trek stars get married, I'm happy to report that too.
I gotta believe this is true. Given that we get headlines every time somebody's uncle's brother's nephew's son gets a hang nail, I think it's safe to say that any Trek regular getting married would be big news.

I dunno....I like stories about hang nails.

Do we hear news reports about any other cast member's relationship status or goings on?

No.

So why must we be over-run with Takei news every week? This is no different. He thinks it's the biggest news since sliced bread, but it really really isn't.
It's obviously more newsworthy because of the recent legalization about gay marriage.

Here in California, Takei's wedding is getting regular news coverage, watched by normal people and not just Trekkies. That's different.

You're a fucking lawyer. You'd better have come out of your divorce on top. Er, so to speak.

She's a lawyer, too.

And I was a little kinder than I should have been. (Especially considering the circumstances.) But no matter. At least I can live with myself.

I'm not sure she can say the same. (Although she probably gives it very little thought.)

And our respective ex-wives are probably saying exactly the same thing about us.

Re: Takei Nuptials Approach

Does anyone say "nuptials" or is it just one of those words that people use in print?

Sounds like it would give Beavis the giggles.

Yeah, that's the part that's always such a pisser. Movies are better than life.

How does it work when lawyers mate? I've always imagined it like when two preying mantises are going at it, and one eats the head off the other.
