I know this probably comes up all the time, but I don't remember remember what anybody said last time it did. But I was ust wondering what everybodies favorite eras were
I pretty much like all of the eras, but my three two would be the 24th Century (Post Dominion War) 24th (Post Nem.) and TOS movie.
I don't know how to do a poll so I guess I'll go ahead and list them:

    22nd Century
    Pre-Kirk TOS (April/Pike Enterprise)
Pre-WNMHGB TOS (Kirk, Spock, Mitchel, Kelso, ect.)
    TOS series
    TOS movie (TOS Movies, Challenger)
    Lost Era
    24th Century (Pre-Borg/Dominion)
    24th Century (Dominion War)
    24th Century (Post Dominion War)
    24th Century (Post Nemesis)

I would have to say that TOS remains my favourite time period.
If this was about least favourite, then that would be the pre/post Undiscovered country/Generations era of Kirks life.
Those "one last mission before decommission" era books just feel so maudlin.

like the tos movie era the best not sure why exactly though the ships are the best ones I've seen what with the excelsior.
though the pre Borg 24th century would be my second choice.
thrid choice would be the 22nd century on the nx-01 an era whwere not everything was known and the galaxy was a pretty big unknown still

Hey, you didn't offer what would have been my choice!

That would have been the time period of Star Trek: The Motion Picture. In recent years, there was only one book in that period (Christopher's masterful Ex Machina), and I think that's an era that bears exploring.

TOS proper, Pre-TOS (April and Co.) and The Lost Era are my favorites; however, I have read TrekLit in all the eras mentioned and have enjoyed some of them.

I didn't put any kind of limit on which eras you could pick.

While I voted for the TOS time, I do enjoy the 22nd Century where they still have football and wear baseball style caps.

are the favorite times I like to think about. Some of the books covering those eras have been good, some, not so much.

And I'm starting to spend some time on the 22nd cent, pre ENT

Ditto. My first ST comics were the post-TMP Marvel issues and I loved the Thomas Warkentin art of those early LA Times Syndicate post-TMP strips.

"Ex Machina" was the novel I wanted to read in the weeks/months following TMP's premiere, but I made do with TMP's novelizations, off-the-shelf Bantams and early Pocket novels, and writing post-TMP fanfic instead. Some of Pocket's early titles were post-TMP, pre-ST II. The "Lost Years" saga (eventually four books) were also great, and lead into TMP.
