Do I really need to read an article to tell me the book had Arabic and Islamic influences? Because I got that from reading the book already.

Does someone need an article in order to learn this basic fact? No. But the article certainly goes further in establishing and analyzing these influences than most readers (I include myself amongst this group) will be able to on their own with the text. You can at least appreciate it for this, no?

I used that site to write a paper about 5 years ago.

All the site says Reverend is "there are influences of Arabic and Islamic origin." They don't explain or list any examples.
