Nimoy = Spock

Shatner = Kirk

Pine and Quinto... well... don't.
I'd rather wait and see the film first.
::::

Your choice.

As I've said before. I grew tired of the whole "this recast will be different" spiel a long time ago.
You've been pretty much trying to sell us on how much this film will fail since you got here. That "spiel" is pretty tiring too. I would prefer to see the film and make up my own mind.

Not selling anything. I've said all along that my opinions are my own. I give the reasons why I have them, but I neither expect nor care if anybody agrees with them.

I'm not going to see this film. Not because I think it will suck. Not because I think it will fail. I have no thoughts about the prior and only reasoned speculation about the later.

I'm not going because I made the decision long before this movie was ever announced that I would no longer patronize movies that fall under this type of re-imagined/recast format.

if they were spending $150m on this movie and it starred the original cast (or, at least as much of it as is possible), I'd still say it was going to fail for most of the same reasons. The only difference would be that it would fail by about $10 less, as I'd probably decide to see it.

I have told NOBODY that they shouldn't go see this film. And, hope you have a wonderful time when you do.

Well the movie may indeed be incredible and all it's hyped to be, but I think these kind of stories, or at least the headline, are kind of silly. Abrams Says 'Star Trek' Worth The Wait. Well no shit, what's he gonna say? Abrams Says 'Star Trek' Sucks The Big One.

It's funny, it's scary, it's dramatic, emotional and entertaining, all without having the stuff you'd think a movie called 'Star Trek' would require.

Sorry for the back-to-back post, but I hit Submit before finishing the post, and you can't edit posts here for some reason...

So what things do you think he's talking about?

Fringe's pilot was filmed in Toronto, but the rest in NYC.

I'm looking forward to spectacular effects.

Keep in mind Harry Potter has been delayed until next spring/summer as well.

I don't know, it's these vague ramblings that J.J. seems prone to that worry me. I still haven't figured it out, to be honest.I think I want to be on whatever meds he's on.

Which means I've have to see both. Hopefully they release at different times.

I believe that Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is slated for a July, 2009 release.
