Your favourite Myriad Universes Story?

Yes, I know, we already have 2 Threads dealing with these two books. But I thought a poll about all entries of the two volumes could be quite interesting.

My thoughts on Myriad Universes:

Short version: Wow, what a ride....
2008 has already been one hell of a year in terms of Trek-books (Forged in Fire, Greater Than the Sum, Fearful Symmetry, Terok Nor-Trilogy, each located somewhere between very good and excellent), but these two Brick-stones topped even the high standard for this year. All six stories where absolutely fantastic and I often wished, they could be the length of a full-scale novel. My personal favourite was definitely "The Chimes at Midnight", one of the best trek-stories I ever read, a breathtaking allegory on Hiroshima with very interesting characters and lots of action, politics and intrigues. I hope we can expect more Trek-Fiction from Mr. Trowbridge. Close behind this one comes "A Gutted World". KRAD, you're an evil person, didn't your Mom tell you not to play with other peoples solar-systems.....
And admit it, you enjoyed it killing all these important Trek-figures....
"Places of Exile" shows once again, what Voyager could have been, if the creative staff behind the series would have actually fitted to the term "creative". And we get some action with the Voth, that alone made me love that story.
As an long-time fan of Isaac Asimov I thoroughly enjoyed "Brave New World", a very good homage to one of the greatest of the genre. I'm sure he would have enjoyed reading about A. Isaak...
"A Less Perfect Union" and "Seeds of Dissent" had both very interesting set-ups and were very well told stories, but somehow didn't made me that much enthusiastic as the other ones, good stories but yet as breathtaking as for example "The Chimes at Midnight".
Thanks to all six authors for these excellent Anthologies, I'm already eagerly anticipating Volume 3 (And hopefully many more).

I have to say "Places Of Exile". It suprised me by being a very fun and intriguing voyager novel, what with voyager not being my favourite series, this story entertained me alot.

I loved both "Places of Exile" and a "Gutted World", but a Gutted World was so wonderfully bleak that it just takes it.

I have to agree-kudos to KRAD. All of the stories had their good points but the cavalier way KRAD slaughtered our favorite characters was fun to see-like watching a five car crash with fatalities. Seriously, it was a lot of fun.
