Then the next week she's compeeting in Miss Kansas Cornhole beauty pageant in a bathing suit.

Kansas is frakking landlocked.
Why should Kansas being landlocked prevent the women from wearing bathing suits in the beauty pageant? Being landlocked doesn't mean we still don't have pools, lakes, etc. to swim in. (Yes, I live in Kansas).

There are no guarantees that the character is going to be revisited either. She may be eternally locked in the Phatom Zone in the Smallville Universe.
This makes DH happy... good riddance.

What we saw in season 7 wasn't the real Kara. K.A.R.A was actually the

I think Kara was brought on board as insurance in case Tom Welling didn't re-up for an 8th season. So when the CW dropped the budgets on most of their shows, Kara went out the door with the others that didn't re-sign.

So that's your problem, then?

I just saw Laura Vandervoort answering some questions on a scifi current events show called The Circuit, and she said that she will be back in season 8 for a few episodes to tie up loose ends.

Have you ever seen an asshole teach a kid how to swim? Picking a four year old up by an ankle and a wrist and then tossing them into the deep end of the pool...

Sink or swim.

I can imagine Kara grabbing Clark by an ankle and a wrist and throwing him smack through the van Allen belt.

Orbital trajectory or Flight.

After she does that 6 or seven times, even Clark would figure out falling into the planet like a Starship piloted by that Troi woman hurts too much to continue as a hobby.

Plus after reentering the planet a few times, it should dispel any of that lingering acrophobia he has. Most acrophobes aren't really afraid of the heights, they're afraid of falling from the heights. He needs to learn he has nothing to fear from falling on a subconscious level. Something I'd have thought he learned a couple of seasons back when he stopped the nuke after "Lion-El" resurrected him.

I'm fine with her never being on the show again if it means I never have to hear the horrible mispronunciation of her name. It is Kar-Ra right, and not Care-Ra?

That was true. If Welling hadn't agreed to another season they were going to write Clark as heading to the Fortress for his training and the show would have centered on Kara.
