RIP LeRoi Brown (Dave Matthews Band)

Sad news, everyone. LeRoi Brown, who played sax and other woodwinds and was one of the founding members of the DMB, passed away on Tuesday. He was injured in an ATV accident in June and seemed to be recovering, but had to return to the hospital last month after developing sudden complications. RIP.

Re: RIP LeRoi Brown (Dave Matthews Band)

I happened to be watching Larry King interviewing Bill Maher on CNN when they made the announcement... I am a HUGE DMB fan and am very worried at the future of the band with Leroi's passing. I had mixed feelings about them playing their show anyway that same night, but when I read up on the performance, I realized it was the right and only thing to do for the band who showed tremendous courage in soldiering on without their fallen brother.

My best wishes and condolences to the band and friends and family. It's a huge loss for the music world...

Whoops. I mistakenly listed Mr. Moore's surname incorrectly. That other song got in my head when I was posting.

Oh damn that's sad. DMB is such a great band and Mr. Moore's sax work was always outstanding. RIP sir, I hope to jam with you upstairs someday.
