'Star Trek' Book And Comic News
As reported by Newsarama.com, the Destiny series of books will debut, encompassing both the 22nd and the 24th centuries, with all of the captains from Picard on up and their respective crews being seen in these new stories. The Destiny series, penned by David Mack, and due out beginning in September, will feature a full-scale Borg invasion that makes all past Borg encounters seem like nothing but mere incidents. There will also be new Star Trek comics in the near future, including a possible Titan comic book, or perhaps one based on the adventures of Captain Sulu. According to Andy Schmidt of IDW Publishing, talks are ongoing with Pocket Books regarding use of material from Pocket Book novels, possibly creating a cohesive continuity between Star Trek books and comics. A second Alien Spotlight series is planned, which will focus on the Ferengi, the Klingons and the Q. There will also be a Mirror Universe story, Star Trek: The Last Generation which will be set during the time frame of Star Trek: The Next Generation. To read more, head to the article located here. |
