'Star Trek XI' Story Spoilers
As reported by Ain't It Cool News, Mr. Atoz saw two different scenes from Star Trek XI; one concerning a group of freighters which appeared to be under attack, and the other about an exchange of hostilities between the Enterprise and the ship of the bad guy. According to the source, "The first scene starts out with this massive convoy of freighters (may be refugees?), each towing two or three. even bigger cargo looking crates behind them with tractor beams. They look big and slow-moving." He goes on to explain that the Enterprise is to the rear of this group as a possible escort. At some point, after these ships come out of warp, they are attacked. "Then it jumps back to space where all of a sudden there are these red streaks of light tearing right through the unshielded freighters and sending several of them up in flames. Everyone lurches out of warp." The scene then cuts to the view of the Enterprise Bridge. "View of the bridge, with everyone reacting in confusion and trying to find out what's going on. Looks like everyone's in cadet uniform except for the guy in the captain's chair who looks about late thirties, early forties." The second scene that Mr. Atoz saw appears to be later in time, with "the first full battle scene. The Enterprise captain is still the captain (no sign of Kirk yet, I think he was on the bridge as just another cadet) and he's exchanging barbs with the villain over an audio link as their ships engage each other. The captain's saying how the bad guy's ship (the Sunfire? Sunflower?) can't protect him." The two ships attack each other. To read more, head to the article located here. |

Re: 'Star Trek XI' Story Spoilers
I can't say with certainty that it is, but my gut tells me it lacks a certain ring of truth. Who is this guy, and why is he getting to see scenes from the movie? Where did he see it?

Re: 'Star Trek XI' Story Spoilers
That's what happens when one does news like this. Sometimes the rumors end up being untrue.

Re: 'Star Trek XI' Story Spoilers
Most good news sites do the same. You take a chance at times. Someone might be pulling your strings, or someone might be slipping you real news on the quiet. Even with this, we're TOLD it was false, but that could be disinformation too, you know? Or not. ![]() Some places have a reputation for not being reliable. Those who regularly read the news anywhere learn who is legitimate and who might not be.

Re: 'Star Trek XI' Story Spoilers
According to Team Abrams at Comic-Con, they've still got a long ways to go with the FX, and that's what's holding up the second trailer.
