She sounds like she's kissing up to fanboys again. Very message-board-ish sounding "opinion" from her. Since when is she all about Shatner?
She's been pretty much of a fangirl from the start. I don't think it's necessarily a pose (not that she's at all right - Shatner's had his run.)

I didn't even have to look at your rank to guess that you are new to TrekBBS.

I like her, seems like good people. Always like how she was a "Star Trek" fan while being an actress on the show. I'm sure she's excited about the movie from a fan's POV like the rest of us.
Agreed - I just wish she was willing to do more 'cons. We've got a great one here.
Maybe too many drooling males scare her away from doing more cons?

Me no likee.
You know? Bad enough with that clone clown in Nemesis.

I tell you, the Romulans are the Rodney Dangerfields of the Galaxy. They get no respect.

P.P.S.
While I'm on the rant here, this site could use one of these:
<link rel="Shortcut Icon" href="/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />

The icon file could be the UGO Logo in icon form or a Starfleet Emblem or something.
Actually, we do have one (or did, until the recent technical glitches of the last couple of days. I guess Antony will have to check and see where it's got to.)

Yeah, to give Blalock credit she was clearly a TOS fan before she ever considered the Enterprise job and she does seem to care about Star Trek. She wasn't the one defending TATV, for a start, quite the opposite.

Oh, and Pioneer - MisterGaribaldi is a fellow Brit and can choose to use the Queen's English any way he wishes.

Fuck off Blalock, you whingy bitch.
What's with all the Blalock bashing?
All she ever did was whinge.
First, T'Pol was a great character and Jolene is super-hot , both in Enterprise <snip>
Agreed. Doesn't exclude her from being a whingy bitch.

Fourth, here in the U.S. we say "whiny" not "whingy". So, MisterGaribaldi, you had better be from the UK or you're just being pretentious.
I am from the UK, but you can still take the above a shove it where the monkey keeps its dates.

My experience of the word pretentious is that it applies most frequently to those applying it to others.

[quote=Guy Gardener;1869734]I thought this was about her complaining that Enterprise wasn't included, because T'Pol and Phlox at least would still be around... Oh, and Trip.
/quote]

Trip is dead, thank God, and let's hope he stays that way.

What makes you think Phlox is still around? No indication was ever made about how long Denoublians live.

As to the topuc, I don't see Blalock as whiny, but it bothers me that she seems to be another "Shatner only" fan. There is more to Trek than Shatner.

Blalock's allowed to her opinion, just like everyone else. Goddess knows a cameo by Shatner couldn't make me dread this film any more than I already do.

According to Alex Kurtzman as posted at UGO, "Nero isn't necessarily a Romulan. It's all part of the plot."
Oh, yeah.

That bodes well.

*facepalm*

Make that Dread this film.

I'd love a cameo by the Shat-man. Maybe a minute or two at the end when Spock returns to the 24th Century to find old James Kirk waiting for him. He shrugs and says "I learned to watch my back." To which Spock cocks an eyebrow and responds "Even the smallest of acts may sometimes have major repercussions." Then the two walk off as the camera pulls back and the music comes up.

It would let Kirk fade away, just as old soldiers should, nicely pass the torch to the youngsters, and please a lot of fans that just wanted a better send off for Kirk.

Don't think I can be considered "new" after seven years.

Optimistic, perhaps...
