Going to see Pineapple Express on Friday! The reviews have been pretty good, and I need a laugh.
Saw it tonight. Gave it an A. I laughed till I cried!

Re: How's the Summer Movie Season going for you?

So, I had every intention of seeing the X-Files this past weekend. I had sunday off, I had the money, and I jumped online to check the times. Apparently, it's bombed so bad, that after only 2 weeks in the theaters, it's no longer available. Dammit.

Its only a "B" because it excelled at what it was suppossed to be, a no brainer action car flick. It delivered what the ads said it would be about and didn't pretend to be anything more. A few cheesy lines, but not overly done like Mummy 3, and one bad monologue from Joan Allens character Hennessy keep me from taking it higher.

Its an entertaining enough movie and if I didn't have free passes wouldn't have gone other wise. I'd have Netflixed it and that may just be the best place for this.

Its fun, just not $10 justifiable fun.

I'm weird. The only one I've seen so far is The Fall, which I loved.
Oh absolutely, wonderful film!

Starting in April (so not counting Cloverfield and The Counterfeiters)

Hellboy II: The Golden Army: B
The Dark Knight: A+
Tropic Thunder: B+

Some gags dragged on a bit but I still thought it was a hoot. Plus it was nice to see a comedy in theaters for a change this summer (still have to get around to seeing Pineapple Express).

Sounds good and pretty much what I expected. I'll likely see it this weekend on a $5 ticket price.
