Re: How's the Summer Movie Season going for you?
It must have lasted about a week...I got my butt to the local fancy schmancy "Sundance" movie theater the same week it opened, knowing how fast it would vanish. Very visually stunning but oddly enough, I liked the real-world story with Lee Pace and the little girl in the hosptial more. The rest was just window dressing.PS, Barbados Slim is the reason I even knew that movie existed. Thanks! :andorian: |

And yes, from the pictures, it does look like one of those 'visually stunning' type movies. The trivia bits are also pretty impressive. I've added this one to my "to see" list. |

Re: How's the Summer Movie Season going for you?
Hancock - Decent The Incredible Hulk - Decent Wall E - Semi Decent Indiana Jones - Crap Wanted - Crap The Happening - What's worse than crap? I've seen more than that (I've seen more movies this summer than I've seen in many years of my life combined, simply due to the woman I'm with), but those are the "big" ones. |

Re: How's the Summer Movie Season going for you?
The start of which is May(yes I know its still spring on the calendar) and that means Iron Man and any movie through Labor Day. Those are the dates Hollywood looks at as its "summer period". So Forgetting Sarah Marshall (while you may like it) is not a response to "How's the summer movie season going for you". Several have done that and sorry it just bugs me. I liked it too, its just not a summer movie.

Re: How's the Summer Movie Season going for you?
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian: B+ Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull: B- The Incredible Hulk: B+ Kung Fu Panda: B+ Wall-E: A So far it has been a good summer. My wife and I are planning on doing a double feature of Get Smart and Hancock on Saturday. I am pissed that I am on call for work the next weekend when The Dark Knight comes out. I do not go to the movies when I am on call. I am worried that the pager will go off and I will miss part of the movie. But, I will see it the next weekend for sure along with Hellboy II. I am also going to see The X-Files I Want To Believe as well as The Mummy Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. I am still up in the air regarding Pineapple Express and Star Wars The Clone Wars. I have enjoyed most of the Apatow gang's movies and suspect that Pineapple Express will be funny. I will have to hear word-of-mouth for Clone Wars as the trailers do not excite me one bit. |

![]() I elect not to be pedantic about it. It does "bug" me that people keep saying "Wall-E", I guess, forgeting that his name was an acronym so it's called "WALL-E."
