It's also too early to delcare that you're right. As far as "competition," I don't think that will be a factor, as discussed in the Trek XI thread some months ago.

I said "you're" in the generic sense, myself included. I'm not looking to be declared right. Nor do I get any thrill out of I told you so's if I am.

I've stated an opinion that I believe to be correct. Nothing more.

As for whether or not competition is a factor. Competition is ALWAYS a factor. How much of one has yet to be determined.

Nemesis was beat out by a couple of chic flics before LOTR ever touched the screen. And, it happened before anybody knew whether or not it was bad.

Sci-fi movies have enough of a problem competing with everything else, let alone the glut of sci-fi/fantasy movies that are due out at the same time.
