There was a Dr. Who reference?
There was some initial confusion as to the device "Kirk" was holding in the first couple of strips. Some suspected it was the Doctor's sonic screwdriver. As a result a line or two was included about temporal distortions. However, NCC-1701 based the device upon the fountain pen like "servo" used by Gary Seven from "Assignment: Earth". Fortunately, since Gary Seven supposedly beamed not only across the galaxy, but also through time, the lines about temporal distortions was still within context.
Ah, thanks! I thought of the sonic screwdriver at first but quickly figured out it was Gary Seven's servo.

I've been waiting for someone to throw in a wild off-the-wall curve like the Phoenix.

Ihlecreations your sketches are great Kirk's nose may be a bit too curved/hooked in the first sample but he's readily recognizable.

Those samples are awesome, Ihlecreations! I'm looking forward to your turn.

By the way, has anyone seen Klondike307 around the boards? He's next on the list.

Well, I guess then it's your turn. Klondike can join again at any time in the future.

Hello? Klondike? You still with us, bud? Should the next guy on the list go ahead with his entry?

Sincerely,

Bill

If we don't hear from Klondike by the end of the day Friday I'm inclined to say we should move on to the next artist to keep the project going. Klondike can always catch it the next time around.

All due respect to Klondike, a one week deadline was pretty well established at the outset of all this, and we're way past that.

Sorry for all the delays guys. It's been a hell of a week trying to get my schedule, financial aid, and everything else squared away for my senior year. I thank you for not skipping over me and apologize again for my absence. That being said, my panels are up!

That's a great panel and quite worth the wait, Klondike. I like how for Kirk you mostly used shots of evil Kirk from The Enemy Within. Very effective. The end is also very good. I'm looking forward to how Ihlecreations will follow up to this.
