Well, I will definitely be looking forward to getting my sweaty mitts on it. In the meantime, I'm going to try to find those other pieces...

Re: Starship Farragut: The Animated Episodes Questions

We have been quiet lately with the holidays, but I wanted to start the fires again with discussing Starship Farragut:The Animated Episodes.

Ever since the release of Power Source we have been working on the completion of the next episode, The Needs of the Many. Just like before, the more difficult ares of the story and new animations are in the later acts. Act 1, however, is about ready to go, and I plan to release this on 12/31/09 at 12:00 PST (noon, basically).

This will be a different episode than Power Source, but hopefully no less enjoyable. The fan-crew has been working on their acting, and I hope everyone hears a marked improvement in this episode.

I will post more later, but hope everyone had a great holiday!

Good to hear, thanks for posting. I'm looking forward to this episode and your release on New Year's Eve day. Keep up the good work!

Re: Starship Farragut: The Animated Episodes Questions

I am always glad to hear about people trying to create quality Fan Trek. I have been making it my mission to make as much Fan Trek as possible available to view, but there's never enough high quality Fan Trek, nor could there ever be enough. Farragut's work has been good or excellent, and I'm delighted that you want it to become even better!

I'm also looking forward to your next live action episode.

Since this looks to be a pretty ambitious episode, with Andorians, Gorn, Romulans and space battles, I'm looking forward to seeing it as well!

Re: Starship Farragut: The Animated Episodes Questions

Here is something new that we haven't done in a while...If you go to http://farragut-animated.com/image.html you will see we have started posting images again that relate to The Needs of the Many...This week, the Cestus III Wormhole station.

Now, you may be asking yourself...."self...I don't remember a wormhole station at Cestus III". Well, neither did Kirk. It is explained in Act 1 of the episode, but the ground station was just a secondary station for what was REALLY going on at Cestus III. You will have to watch the episode on Thursday to get the whole story.

A hand goes out to Thomas Phong for the design of this station.

Anyway, enjoy!

Re: Starship Farragut: The Animated Episodes Questions

The first act is available for those interested: http://farragut-animated.com/needs.html

There is a lot going on in this episode, and a lot more will be revealed in Act 2. And yes, this is a 'fan-style' episode with a lot of references to the entire Trek universe. Since there may only be 2 animated episodes, we had to do one 'tribute episode'

Enjoy!

Re: Starship Farragut: The Animated Episodes Questions

All,
With Act 1 released, we are working feverishly toward Act 2 and 3. However, we have time to do a Monday posting. This time, the wallpaper images of Tumar, voiced by Tim Russ.

Now, we have been asked if Tumar is a relative of Tuvok from ST: Voyager. It is never established on screen or dialog, however, why not?

Anyway...enjoy....

Who did the Medical asst? It's close to what I did, but has been altered. The nose looks weird, IMO.

As you know, we did two versions of this guy...and as far as I can tell that was the one you did for me originally (over a year ago).

I could be wrong, but the file hasn't been altered since then.

Here is my original. Not that it's a big deal, but I think the nose looks funny on the other one.

Not exactly on-topic, but there's a web page with stories from three people who worked at Filmation at this link, which gives you some idea of what the studio's production process was like.
