Angels and Deomons film update

Apparently the movie is still doing principal photography, which puts it well behind a certain Abrams film, which has post production underway already and will come out about the same time

No more adventures! I'm not going that way!

They still have nearly an entire year before Angels and Demons is set to to be released - plenty of time to finish principle photography and do all the post work. Remember that Paramount didn't delay Abrams' Trek film because of production delays - they delayed it because they want to market it as a big summer blockbuster.

I'm not entirely convinced the masses give a damn about more Robert Langdon. DaVinci Code was a unique mass cult following with enough religous drama to make it media worthy. I see this as likely being like the first Tomb Raider. We were curious but we don't want more. I never see threads about people tracking this like I do any other number of genre projects.

Granted one might be able to say the same about Trek, execpt Trek is a cultural phenomenon and has been for 40+ years. Fans will show up. Can the same be said about Langdon, I'm leaning towards no.

I'm sure it'll do just fine - they'll tout the connection to DaVinci Code.

The Vatican is also helping out being being such idiots about it. No doubt it makes people think, "what are they so worried about if it's just some bs made-up crap?"

Great. Tom Hanks gets paid another 50 million to stand around and look bored.
