Through all my excitement I noticed the same thing. I was looking for a recognizable landmass, but saw nothing.

You could clearly see Florida from orbit in the season 3 finale.

I assume this that *that* very same world. Otherwise, why show it?

Uh, aside from "watching enough movies" I've actually been to New York quite a few times - big shocker there, I'm sure. And I see fine. If you can't offer better than "some bridge in NYC" I'd say that you don't know the city well enough to tell whether those darkened stumps across the water were New York or New Gargleblast.

Apropos of nothing, BTW, if you type "galactica" and "holy fuck" into Google tonight it returns 6210 hits.

Well at least now we know why everything the colonials have so closely relates to earth stuff.(Clocks, cars, language, dress etc)

I to thought this was they way they would go. Im sure the colonials are decendants of our time period just before a nuclear war or some similar disater. A group of earthers left and the colonials were the result. Now Im sure we will find out exactly how at the end of the season next year.

Yeah, okay. Because the twisted remains of the Brooklyn Bridge look real different from any other suspension bridge in the world. Plus, unlike other bridges it crosses a body of water leading into a large city.

As have I. After all, all this has happened before and will happen again.

Gosh, I hope though that it's some other city than NYC. It's been done to death. Hell, maybe it's San Francisco and that's the Bay Bridge or it's some yet unseen city that we've yet to build. Better yet, maybe it's some city on some Earth that isn't ours.

I hope that RDM and DE break out of the box and make it something other than NYC.

Post-apocalyptic NYC. Been there. Done that.
