Quinto on 'Star Trek XI' And 'Heroes'
As reported by Superhero Profiles, working on Star Trek XI was exciting for Quinto. "It was incredible," he said. "It was truly epic, overwhelming, exciting, really challenging at times. I had a great time. I learned so much and now am so excited to come back to the show and to this environment that's so comfortable and familiar and supportive and let those lessons sort of reveal themselves through this, like it's great to go from one thing right back into something else. I feel really, really blessed for that. I'm just excited to be back with my peeps." Working on both projects without missing any time, Quinto had an assist from the writer's strike. "It worked out in an unbelievable way for me," he explained. "I felt really conflicted about it [writer's strike] when it was happening but in retrospect obviously...Now that it's over and everything’s back up and running I feel like it was a pretty great fortuitous timing." Quinto discussed the upcoming third season of Heroes (also known as "volume three".) "It's crazy," he said. "You know volume three villains so he [Sylar] has a strong presence this year again, as do some new villains and true to form on this show nothing is as it seems, and I think we're really going to get back to a sense of good old-fashioned good verses evil. You know like that season one kind of build-up and that anticipation of a clash. There's really going to be something for all the heroes to be working against which I think is exciting and also what fans sort of love. It's what they thrive on so we're excited about it." I'm really looking forward to S3, and I wish the wait wasn't so long.
