^I think it was Cogley making a comment on how the Enterprise that the folks here were "remaking" should have a sombrero instead of a saucer section. The sombrero was a staple of all Enterprise redesigns to follow, and eventually it turned inot sombrero-izing everything that moves.

At first I thought that it had to do with Mexicans being portrayed in the new upcoming movie. Then I thought maybe it had to do with the trailer and the saucer section of the "new" Enterprise.

How close am I? am I totally off?

john1701 supplied the next prototype for the yet-unnamed Sombreroprise:

Samuel T. Cogley then added "And can we have an actual Pez candy (or approximation) being shot out of Shatner's mouth (but not obscuring his face?)."

PKTrekGirl chimed in, pointing out that she thought "...it would be nice if we hung some Christmas lights around the edges of the saucer section. You know - give it that festive touch."

There were already plans to add vectoring nacelles and twinkling lights to the still-in-development Sombreroprise, but Samuel T. Cogley came up with the most important post in the whole thread:

LMAO that was great!!!! Well, here's to the Sombreroprise. I for one am looking forward to the movie.

The best animation was the Sombrero Generations, and NOW I understand the Menorah! hah hah

The LCARS blueprints were just awesomeness though.

If there's ever a convention here in Toronto, I'm going just to wear a Sombrero lol

Nah. You didn't kill it. The thread just occasionally experiences a lull. Then, just around the time we think it's dead for sure his time, it suddenly rears its sombrero clad head, and lives on.

lol..... wait, its actually still for sale?! I though that was all people did any more was crack it, i thought adobe would have gone out of business because they obviously don't make enough money to support their poor frail little business through other products that people actually want to pay for. and besides, if they didn't want us to crack it and such, why did they make it so easy to do in the first place?
