'Star Trek' DVD Fan Collective Set

A DVD set featuring "bizarre and strange" episodes to be offered to fans on September 16th.

As reported by tvshowsondvd.com another Fan Collective set of DVDs will be released this autumn. The Alternative Realities Fan Collective set will feature bizarre and strange episodes from all five Star Trek shows.

According to the studio, one's favorite characters will behave contrary to type, in familiar, but odd circumstances.

The five disc collection contains twenty episodes and runs for approximately fifteen hours and eighteen minutes. There will also be exclusive special features.

Previous Fan Collective collections included: Star Trek: The Borg: Fan Collective, Star Trek: Captain's Log: Fan Collective, Star Trek: Klingon: Fan Collective, Star Trek: Q: Fan Collective and Star Trek: Time Travel: Fan Collective.

Re: 'Star Trek' DVD Fan Collective Set

These kinds of themes are interesting to me. What with the SCI-FI Channel buying TNG, my hope is that they purchase the rights to air all 10 of the movies and all 6 of the series. That way they can do something similar to what these themed box sets are. On say Friday nights, the SCI-FI Channel could air a 4-hour block of Trek using various themes such as specific aliens, time travel, 'fish out of water,' alternate realities, crewmen on trial, etc. The block could include one episode from 4 of the series or it could be a block from one. They could also show two movies each week as we lead up to STXI. They could poll the viewers for suggestions, too. There are many possibilities.

I would love a Space Seed, Wrath of Kahn double feature. That'd be awesome.

How about Space Seed followed by ENT's Borderland, Cold Station 12, and The Augments?
