One of the top five most famous moments in auto racing history. That's the wreck at the end of the 1976 Daytona 500.

THE most famous moment in stock car racing 1979

Yep! And ya gotta love the way she just flips the ball to the LF on her way back down the line.

Rothlesberger goes DOWN!

Big Ben came back and was sacked 3 more times in that game. It was a thing of sublime beauty.

eta: Sorry, 6 more times...

YouTube is blocked here at work, so I can't view the link yet. Is it from the Ravens game last season?

It's a wonder this kind of thing doesn't happen more often:

Soccer theft and goal

One way to get the catcher off your back when you charge the mound - kick him first!

Nothing more exciting than watching a race horse "come from the clouds" to win.
(especially, if you're holding a ticket on him!)
I've always been fond of thoroughbreds who come flying at the end of a race...
Silky Sullivan was probably the best there ever was at making that particular move.
Not the greatest horse to ever grace the race track...
but perhaps the best stretch runner the sport has ever known.

WATCH HIM RUN...

I saw a collection of videos out on MSN or somewhere, under the heading of "faked". It included this particular one. Anyone else heard that?

No, I hadn't heard that. If that's true, then they fooled Fox (because they played the clip during the All-Star Game). But considering it's Fox...

OKay, this clip has two of my favorite sports people: 1.) Greg Oden - one of the best and nicest young talents in the NBA. And 2.) .... Erin Andrews!
